What is Season of the Sunflower?

Season of the Sunflower is an opportunity for local establishments to partner with Prayers From Maria during the bloom season of our sunflower fields in Avon and Cedar Point, Sandusky. Last season, thousands of people visited both of our fields from sunup to sundown seven days a week. This creates a spectacular opportunity for businesses to participate in a mutually beneficial joint partnership with Prayers From Maria.

Ways to Partner

Round-up Campaign

• At checkout, ask customers if they would like to "round-up" for the Prayers From Maria Foundation and help end childhood cancer.

Donate-a-Dollar Campaign

• At checkout, ask customers if they would like to "donate-a-dollar" to the Prayers From Maria Foundation to help end childhood cancer.

Tear-off Donation Board

• Place a donation board representing a $1, $5 or $10 donation at checkout and collect donations.

Donation Box 

• Place a donation box at checkout for people to fill with donations.

Social Media Mentions

• Mention Prayers From Maria on social media platforms via feed, stories, etc. encouraging followers to donate.

Sunflower Pinup Donation Cards

• At checkout, ask customers if they would like to donate to the Prayers From Maria Foundation to help end childhood cancer. Have customers fill out our sunflower donation card and "wallpaper" the wall with sunflowers, creating a field.

Provide Giveaway Items

• Provide Prayers From Maria items for social media giveaways. Ex. gift cards, merchandise, gift baskets, etc. 

Email Campaign

• Promote Prayers From Maria bloom season through email promotions that encourage donations, link to our website or Maria's Shop online. Templates can be provided.

Donate a Portion of Sales

• Donate a portion of sales over a select period of time to the Prayers From Maria Foundation.
