Edward X. McNamara is the President & CEO of Armada Risk Partners, a Cleveland-based insurance brokerage with a satellite location in Detroit, Michigan. Previous to Armada, Ed was Senior Vice President and Regional Sales Director at Aon, where he led the sales team for the Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky region. Concurrently, Ed specialized in environmental risk management and protection. Before that, Ed served as “Rainmaker” at Oswald Companies, a regional commercial insurance brokerage, where his focus was Property & Casualty and Health & Benefits insurance. Prior to joining the insurance world, Ed also started and ran his own technology and software company.

After the diagnosis of their oldest child, Maria, with a glioma brain tumor at the age of 6, Ed and Megan co-founded and continue to lead the Prayers From Maria Foundation. Ed also continues his philanthropic work as President of The Lorain County Board of Health, and a member of the County Mayo Society, Irish American Charitable Foundation, and Cleveland Blue Coats. He is a Cleveland native who grew up in Rocky River as the son of a Cleveland Police Captain and attended Saint Ignatius High School and The Ohio State University. He and Megan have four sons – Eddie, Aidan, Blake & Josh.
