Maria's Field of Hope

About the Fields

When Maria's Field of Hope is in bloom, people are welcome to walk the fields from sunup to sundown. Maria's Field of Hope in Avon blooms sometime in September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and our Cedar Point Field typically blooms sometime in July/August.

No fee is required. Maria's Shop located at the field offers a nice array of merchandise for sale to support the efforts of the Foundation. Information about the foundation can also be found at the shop. Maria’s Shop is open from 10am until dusk, with breaks at mid-day, weather-permitting.

The foundation often holds fun, specially planned family-friendly events at the field for visitors. See the calendar of events on our website for more details. Once the bloom season ends, the foundation harvests the sunflower seeds and bags them as bird seed for sale at select local garden centers, Maria’s Shop in Rocky River and online. All proceeds from the sale of our seeds go to the foundation and our fight to end childhood cancer.

We welcome you to enjoy your time at Maria's Field of Hope!
